Diploma in Veterinary Pharmacy

Duration: 2 Years + 3 Months Compulsory Internship

The Diploma in Veterinary Pharmacy is a professionally oriented programme designed to provide students with essential theoretical knowledge and practical skills required for supporting veterinary healthcare services and pursuing careers in the animal health and veterinary pharmaceutical industry.

The programme covers the fundamentals of livestock and poultry management, veterinary physiology and nutrition, animal diseases and healthcare, veterinary pharmacology and pharmacy, clinical diagnostics and sample collection, pharmaceutical compounding and dispensing, basic surgical procedures, artificial insemination, and veterinary public health.

Special emphasis is placed on the safe handling, storage, preparation, and dispensing of veterinary medicines, along with practical exposure to clinical procedures, preventive healthcare, biosecurity, and zoonotic disease control.

A 3-month compulsory internship provides supervised hands-on training in veterinary hospitals, pharmacies, diagnostic laboratories, livestock facilities, and other relevant animal health establishments, enabling students to integrate academic knowledge with practical professional skills.

The programme aims to develop skilled and responsible veterinary pharmacy personnel capable of effectively assisting qualified veterinary professionals and contributing to the animal health sector.
